The extension and renovation to this double fronted victorian property added a striking and bold character to the house. The rear extension had large glass sliding doors to allow light to fill the space and complement the deep colour tones of the fittings and walls. By opening up the hallway to the rear creates uninterrupted sight lines towards the garden, making the house feel light and open as you enter. The original house has lovely period characteristics, which have been preserved and added to with patterned and decorative details.
The rear extension adds a large and inviting entertaining/living space, perfectly suited for large opening sliding doors allowing the living space to spill outside as well. By adding this rear extension, an efficient hierarchy of spaces is created, allowing both intimate cosy spaces and connecting living areas.
